Majors

Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management Major (Undergraduate)

A major in Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management has two strands: the theory and practice of relations between employers, employees, unions and government; as well as the management of people within an organisation, including recruitment, selection, remuneration, appraisal, and training and development. This is a professional major which includes a work experience program with placements in unions, employer organisations, companies and government.

Management Major (Undergraduate)

Management is the process of planning, organising, leading and controlling the efforts of organisational members and using resources inside and outside the organisation to achieve set objectives. A Management major draws on subjects from a number of disciplines in the Faculty and develops a sound understanding of managing the internal processes of organisations and the relationship between organisations and their environments.
