The New Actors and Institutions in Australian and New Zealand Industrial Relations Conference was held on 2-3 November 2006, and jointly sponsored by the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Sydney and Employment Studies Centre, University of Newcastle.
The two-day conference examined 'new actors' (such as community and welfare groups; employment agencies; occupational health and safety inspectors; customers; management consultants) and 'new institutions' (such as the Office of the Employment Advocate; Fair Pay Commission; financial markets) in industrial relations in Australia and New Zealand.
