| Description | This unit is intended to consolidate your knowledge and skills in applications of Information Systems so you can better assist business to improve its organisational effectiveness. The unit serves as a capstone to the Master of Business Information Systems and is structured around a semester long project designed to allow you to demonstrate your ability to apply and synthesise BIS concepts in a real world setting. You will consider the information systems lifecycle from inception through implementation to operation, identifying opportunities, developing strategies and designing processes, procedures and management practices to enable an organisation to fully realise the business benefits of information systems. You will be provided with the opportunity to locate assignments within the particular context most suited to your past experience or future aspirations. As such this unit will prepare you for the challenges of effectively utilising Information and Information Systems for strategic business advantage in your role as a manager within an organisation. |
