DescriptionThis unit will provide you with an overview of enterprise-wide computing and integrated enterprise systems concepts with the help of packaged software solutions. You will become familiar with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), be exposed to the functionality of enterprise-wide systems such as SAP and develop a high level understanding of its underlying business processes and their method of integration. The unit will equip you with a thorough understanding of the process flows in procurement, production management, customer order management, customer service and financial accounting and controlling through detailed exploration of the SAP system software. The integrative capabilities of enterprise system software, and its potential benefits and limitations to businesses, are highlighted throughout.
