DescriptionThis new unit of study will be of interest to those students wishing to acquire and manage their own business, or are seeking to work in 'big' business and the financial markets (particularly private equity). The unit of study focuses on established businesses operating in mature markets. These businesses are of interest to entrepreneurs who seek to buy into established cashflows, or turn around failing enterprises. The unit of study focuses on practical issues, including opportunity evaluation, management and revitalisation (rather than financial structuring). The unit of study will enable you to explore the process of acquiring and reinvigorating established businesses and introduce sources of appropriate funding sources.
