DescriptionStudents are introduced to the regulatory structure and its impact on banking practice. The relationship between banker and customer and the duties of the parties are analysed. Issues relating to risk management and abuse of banking and financial transactions are discussed. Payment instruments such as bills of exchange, cheques and letters of credit are also examined. Students will become familiar with the legal structure, relationships and liabilities of parties in syndicated lending and securitisation.
