Philip Lee has specialist skills in the areas of accounting, finance and computing. Prior to joining the University he worked as a financial analyst at the Australian Stock Exchange and a senior business analyst in a major financial institution. Philip has particular interest in financial markets and financial reporting. His research includes work on initial public offers (IPOs), privatisations, valuation, share buybacks, takeovers, financial engineering, analyst earnings forecasts, voluntary accounting disclosures, audit quality and the economics of auditing. Financial statement analysis is one area in which he regularly teaches at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Philip's research has been published in prestigious journals, including Australian Accounting Review, Pacific-Basin Finance Journal, Journal of Banking and Finance and Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Accounting and Finance, Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, and Australian Journal of Management.
