Dr Maurice Peat has a PhD in Finance from UTS, in the area of distress modelling. He joined the university in 2004 from UTS, where he held a senior lectureship in the Faculty of Business. He taught in both the School of Finance & Economics and Business Information Systems during his 15 year tenure at UTS.
Maurice's current research interests cover such topics as credit risk and corporate distress analysis, a managerial decision context for financial analysis, the economics of restructuring transactions and risk management in the energy sector.
