Dr Joel Fabre is a Lecturer in Finance at the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Sydney. He has a Doctorate in Finance from the University of Sydney where he studied with support from an Australian Postgraduate Award, a Capital Markets Co-Operative Research Centre Scholarship and a St Paul's College Foundation Scholarship. He also has a Bachelor of Commerce with First Class Honours in Finance from the University of Sydney where he studied as a Credit Suisse Scholar and a University Honours Scholar. He has practised mergers and acquisitions at J.P. Morgan, worked in the equities business at Credit Suisse and worked in business development at the Sydney Futures Exchange. He has also acted as a consultant to investment banks, commercial banks, private equity funds and other private sector organisations.
