Chris Wright's research focuses on the diffusion of management knowledge, managerial and professional identity, and technological and workplace change. His current research interests include the role and impact of internal consultants; management consulting in Asia; and decision-making and sensemaking among top management teams.

Chris has published in leading international journals including Human Relations, British Journal of Management, Organization, Management Learning, Business History, Work, Employment and Society; and New Technology Work and Employment. In addition his work has appeared in a range of edited collections and he is the author of several monographs including The Management of Labour: A History of Australian Employers (Oxford University Press, 1995). He has been a Chief Investigator on major research projects funded by the Australian Research Council, including an examination of the organisational implications of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and a project examining recent changes in Korean corporations.
