Research Centres and Groups

Within the Faculty of Economics and Business, research groups and foundations draw together our specialist capabilities and interests, enabling us to work at the forefront of our discipline areas, influencing research agendas and professional practice.

The quality of the work within these groupings underpins their international standing and their ability to attract distinguished academics and researchers in their fields, as well as to attract significant levels of funding from competitive research grants and consultancies.

The Faculty hosts two prestigious Australian Research Council (ARC) Key Centres for Research and Teaching - Institute of Transport and Logistics Studies (ITLS) and the Workplace Research Centre.

In additon, the Faculty has recently established the Centre for International Security Studies (CISS) and incorporated the Graduate School of Government as formal centres of expertise within the Faculty. These centres are positioned with the funding, profile, partnerships and capabilities to influence policy and practice in Australia, and to establish an international presence in their fields.

The Faculty has several other research groups and centres which are an expression of the Faculty?s unique expertise and of the synergies of our interdisciplinary interactions and national and international collaborations.
