News : Sydney and Johannesburg sign Transport and Logistics Studies MoU

The University of Sydney has signed an MoU with the University of Johannesburg (South Africa) establishing a partnership between ITLS(Sydney) and ITLS(Africa).
Professor David Hensher, Director of ITLS(Sydney) attended the launch of ITLS(Africa) in Johannesburg on February 20th 2008. The MoU was signed by the Pro Vice-Chancellor of University of Johannesburg (UJ), Professor Derek van der Merwe and the Deputy Vice Chancellor (International) of the University of Sydney, Professor John Hearn and witnessed by Professor David Hensher.
The Director of ITLS(Africa) will be Professor Jackie Walters, Professor and Head of the Department of Transport and Supply Chain Management in the Faculty of Management at UJ.
The Institute of Transport and Logistics Studies (Africa) is being established in partnership with ITLS at the University of Sydney. It is anticipated that, together, the parties will be able to achieve a more effective use of individual talents and transfer of knowledge and skills.
