Description | The Business and Society major focuses on the relationships between corporations and their social and political environments. It emphasises the breadth of stakeholder interests and the range of ethical and political issues which contemporary corporations must face. It is particularly useful for those working in public affairs roles in business or government, and for those wanting to extend their studies by reflecting more broadly on the role of business in contemporary society. Please Note.This major will NOT be available in 2009. Requirements for the major | For continuing (pre-2009 commencing) students to complete a major in Business and Society, students must complete the foundation level unit of study GOVT5001 Business, Government and Society as a prerequisite for the major:

Availability of this major | This version of this major is only available to continuing students (pre-2009 commencing) under the Master of Commerce, Master of Commerce and Master of Facilities Management, Master of Commerce and Master of Logistics Management, Master of Commerce and Master of Professional Accounting, Master of International Business and Master of Commerce and Master of Transport Management and Master of Commerce. Continuing students (pre-2009 commencing) enrolled in the Graduate Diploma in Commerce or the Master of Professional Accounting may choose units from this major subject area as electives in their course. | |
