Feedback for Tutors
Feedback from Peers
The peer observation is guided and is to be completed in the spirit of collegiality and with an intent to support tutor development. It is also to be kept confidential between the tutor and the person providing feedback. You will be paid for the hour spent observing your colleague, plus another hour for the time taken meeting with your colleague before and after the observation- 3 hours paid in total for peer observation.
Please download the Peer Observation Guidelines and email ALL the completed forms for Part 1, 2, 3a & 3b to Kellie Morrison by COB Thursday 24 September 2009.
Feedback from Students
The Institute of Teaching and Learning (ITL) provides valuable information on how to obtain feedback on your teaching. There is a specific tutor teaching form that you may choose to request. Only you will receive the results of this feedback, and you choose who you share the feedback with (if anyone). Please also remember to request your end of the year survey from students, Teaching in Tutorials by 8 May 2009.
To order the forms, go to the ITL website, enter your details, the choose the which questionnaire you would like your students to complete. We strongly suggest ordering the Teaching in Tutorials, numerical questionnaire with scannable forms. These are the only forms that are acceptable for the Dean's Citation for Tutoring Awards. Remember that only you can order these forms and they will not be ordered for you unless you specifically request them.
