Studying Honours in the Faculty of Economics and Business

Honours Scholarships

In 2009 the University of Sydney will be offering 100 Honours Scholarships, each worth $6000. Honours Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit and personal attributes such as leadership and creativity.

In order to be eligible, the program you are studying must have an additional year following the completion of your undergraduate program at the 'pass' level. (Some Honours degrees, for instance in other faculties, do not include an additional year of study and are therefore not eligible for this scholarship).

All local students are eligible, including those students who completed their undergraduate degree at a university other than Sydney.

Please note that, applications are open once a year only, irrespective of whether you intend to commence in the first or second semester.

Further information about these scholarship will be available on the Scholarships website.

"Honours is a very rewarding but tough year. It is one of the best ways to develop your skills in "how to think" rather than merely acquiring additional knowledge."
