Congratulations to our elite Olympic athletes

The Faculty of Economics and Business proudly recognises the achievements of its nine Olympic athletes who all competed admirably at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Of this group Robin Bell won a bronze medal in the C1 Men's Canoeing while Francis Hegerty bagged a Silver medal in Rowing with his partner Matt Ryan.

The Faculty Economics and Business believes high level study is a natural fit with elite sportsmanship and offers highly flexible study options for all committed athletes.

Sports Scholarships

The Faculty offers, in conjunction with Sydney University Sports, a Scholarship for Outstanding Academic and Sporting Achievement.

The scholarship valued at $10,000 per annum is awarded annually to two talented athletes based on academic merit, who are already competing at state and/or national levels and will be undertaking a degree with the Faculty of Economics and Business.
