The Discipline of Accounting is an established leader in teaching and research in the fields of accounting and related areas. The Discipline has an outstanding international reputation in teaching, development of resources, and in journal publishing.

Undergraduate Study in Accounting
Students can complete an Accounting major or elective Accounting units in:
- Bachelor of Commerce
- Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts
- Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws
- Bachelor of Commerce / Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (New degree in 2009)
- Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Science
- Bachelor of Commerce (Liberal Studies)
- Bachelor of Economics
- Bachelor of Economics / Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (New degree in 2009)
- Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Commerce
- Bachelor of Information Technology and Bachelor of Commerce
Undergraduate Major/s
Students must complete an Accounting major as part of the requirements to qualify for CPA Australia or ICAA accreditation.
Students can also complete specific accounting units of study as electives in the following major/s:
Postgraduate Study in Accounting
Master of Professional Accounting
The Faculty offers this specialist course for students who wish to complete study in accounting and gain professional accounting accreditation with CPA Australia or the ICAA. Students must complete a set sequence of accounting units of study in the Master of Professional Accounting or the Master of Commerce and Master of Professional Accounting. Students also have the option of completing additional accounting electives in this degree.
Master of Commerce (Including Combined Degrees)
Students can complete accounting units of study as part of majors, including a major in Accounting, or as electives under the following:
- Master of Commerce
- Master of Commerce and Facilities Management
- Master of Commerce and Master of Logistics Management
- Master of Commerce and Master of Professional Accounting
- Master of International Business and Master of Commerce
- Master of Transport Management and Master of Commerce
Majors
- Accounting (in all combined Master of Commerce degrees excluding the degree below)
- Accounting (in the Master of Commerce and Master of Professional Accounting)
