I am delighted to welcome you to the Finance Discipline at the University of Sydney. Although first established in 1994, the discipline is already one of the biggest in Australia. We also enjoy a reputation for being one of the top disciplines of choice for the study of undergraduate and postgraduate finance in the Asia Pacific region.

Our courses are tailored to the preparation of students for a number of different career paths in finance. Our graduates are sought after by some of the premier investment banks, fund managers and securities brokers in the world. Financial planners and blue chip corporations seeking graduates for placement in financial management and treasury positions also actively recruit many of our graduates.

Discipline members actively engage with industry, both in Australia and internationally. Consequently, course instruction includes a mix of theory and current practice.
