Theme and focus of the Conference
Sustainability Management of Organisations Group and is a purposely formalized research group set up to focus on:
- the management of sustainability
- the evolving meaning of sustainability for organisations
- social and environmental accounting
- social, ecological and environmental economics
- philosophical, geographical and cultural aspects of management in relation to sustainability
The Conference will promote research excellence in relation to these complex and evolving subject areas by both enabling academics to recognize those elements of their work that might relate to the function of the group, and providing a forum for discussion of their research. As well as provide the opportunity for researchers, teachers, students, and practitioners to draw on each other’s expertise to further inform their own work in this emerging field of research and practice and therefore consequently, will foster relationships between like-minded academics with the intent of the identification of common ground for publication and research collaborations.
