Event : Happiness + Wellbeing @ Work Conference

This conference will investigate the level of happiness in workplaces and the influence this has on the wellbeing of employees. Our expert speakers will provide strategies that will allow the mindful leader to create solutions for generating increased productivity through the dominant value of employee wellbeing.

The conference comprises seminars and workshops facilitated by some of Australia’s leading experts on psychology, leadership and workplace relations.

Morning sessions are:


  • Positive Psychology of Leadership: Creating Happiness and Wellbeing at Work
    Dr Anthony Grant (Director & Lecturer, Coaching Psychology Unit – University
    of Sydney)

  • Political Economy of Happiness and Wellbeing at Work
    Dr John Buchanan (Director, Workplace Research Centre – University of Sydney)

  • How serious are we about wellbeing?
    Hon Dr Geoff Gallop (Professor & Director, Graduate School of Government – University of Sydney) –Former Premier WA



The afternoon session will provide a dynamic format where you can select one workshop from the three listed below:

  • Positive Psychology of Leadership: Making it Happen
    Dr Anthony Grant (Director & Lecturer, Coaching Psychology Unit – University of Sydney)

  • Using Psychology to create a positive workplace
    Dr Gordon Spence (Coaching Psychologist, Coaching Psychology Unit – University of Sydney)

  • Avoiding the toxic workplace
    Dr Richard Hall/Tony Travaglione/Sarah Wise



For the final wrap up session, we will all come back together for a thought provoking closing session on the way forward which will be chaired by Rebecca Huntley, Director of Research for the IPSOS Mackay Report.  Rebecca holds degrees in Law, Arts and has PhD in gender studies.
