Transport Management Major (Master of Commerce and combined Master of Commerce programs)

Description

Transport Management at the postgraduate level provides the skills required for management in the transport system in both the public and private sector. Students study a range of subjects covering freight and passenger sectors, with the focus being on relating essential economic ideas to key transport issues. The Transport Management major offers a well-rounded selection of knowledge: from work-place relations, leadership and management skills, to logistics systems, transport systems and management strategies, and environmental systems assessment.

Requirements for the major

To obtain a Transport Management major, students must complete four units of study (24 credit points), comprising:

Please Note:

  1. TPTM6241 is the foundation unit for this major and should be completed at the beginning of this major.
  2. TPTM6495 is a prerequisite for TPTM6190 and a corequisite for TPTM6350, TPTM6360 and TPTM6425.
  3. TPTM6155 is a corequisite for TPTM6190 and TPTM6200.
  4. TPTM6450 is the capstone unit for this major and should be completed at the end of this major.
