| Description | This unit provides an overview of business process integration with the help of packaged software solutions (via the SAP, enterprise resource planning system). It provides students with hands-on skills in using SAP and familiarizes them with all the modules and their functionality with the aim of exploring the concepts of integration and enterprise-wide information systems and their ability to integrate functions across the business. Students gain a thorough understanding of the information and process flows in procurement, production, sales and distribution and financial accounting. Reengineering and configuration of enterprise systems and the architecture requirements for successful implementation of packaged software solutions is also covered. |
