Many information systems implementations require organisational change, or are part of broader change initiatives, and this unit aims to equip you with the ability to operate as a change agent to lead and manage that process. You will be exposed to the factors that need to be considered to understand an organisations specific context and provided with the knowledge, methodologies and techniques to successfully manage the change related aspects of an information system implementation within that context. Topics covered by this unit include the roles of change, approaches to change including strategic change, change tools, models and frameworks (including TQM, Six Sigma, and BPR for organisational diagnosis), strategies for managing organisational resistance and the end-to-end change process. |
