The Public Policy programs have a strong public sector focus and are primarily for those who serve, or seek to serve, in government. They aim to develop an understanding of the political, social, economic and organisational processes that shape, change and limit public policy programs. Major areas of interest include policy analysis, organisational behaviour and issues management.

From 2008 for commencing studies, the Public Policy programs will be administered by the Faculty of Arts. For details of the Graduate Certificate in Public Policy, please refer to the Faculty of Arts website.

Course requirements

Please Note. The following course rules are for students who are continuing students enrolled in FG001 (who enrolled in this course before 2008). All students who commenced this degree from 2008 (enrolled in DG035) should refer to the course rules outlined in the the Faculty of Arts handbook.

To be awarded the Graduate Diploma in Public Policy, students will successfully complete a total of four (4) units of study (24 credit points) including:

  • At least two units of study (12 credit points) from Table A
  • Up to two units of study (12 credit points) from Table B

Entry requirements

This course is not available for commencing students. Students who wish to commence study in this course should refer to the new Graduate Certificate in Public Policy course offered by the Faculty of Arts.
