MIntBus/MCom

This program combines the Master of International Business with the Master of Commerce. The two master’s degrees can be awarded in a shorter time than it would take to study them independently.

Course requirements

To be awarded the Master of International Business and Master of Commerce, students must successfully complete a total of 16 units (96 credit points), comprising:

  • Up to four core commerce units of study (24 credit points) (Please Note. Students who wish to complete a second Master of Commerce major in this degree should only take up to two core units of study)
  • A major (four units of study or 24 credit points) in one of the commerce subject areas (excluding international business)
  • Four compulsory units of study (24 credit points) in international business
  • Two elective units of study (12 credit points) in international business
  • Either a second major (if two or less core units of study are undertaken) and/or elective units of study from the subject areas listed under Table B. Commerce subject areas

Please note:

  1. The units of study marked with "*" will NOT be available for 2009 enrolments.
  2. The ECOP and GOVT coded units are offered through the Faculty of Arts.
  3. The USSC units are offered through the United States Studies Centre.
  4. The International Business will not be listed on the final testamur as a major for this degree.

Entry requirements

For entry into this degree, students must have completed a bachelor’s degree, graduate diploma/certificate or equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution with a minimum credit (65 per cent) average.

Duration of course

Full-time: A typical full-time student will undertake three or four units of study per semester, completing the 16 units in four to five semesters (two to 2.5 years).

Part-time: Students undertake one or two units per semester, typically completing the program in four to six years.
