International Employers

The Faculty of Economics and Business attracts a high number of international students. Some of these students will secure Permanent Residency to enable them to remain in Australia but most students will return to their home country following graduation. A number of international companies are seeking to recruit these graduates in their penultimate year to take up roles overseas once they have completed their studies. Australian students also express their interest in working overseas. We provide an effective conduit for international employers to build a profile and to develop relationships with the students of the Faculty of Economics and Business prior to graduation.

Working Globally Week - 31st August to 4th September 2009

The Careers and Employer Relations Office will be hosting our annual Working Globally Week with events and activities aimed at students interested in working away form their home country.

We would like to invite our international employer partners to take part in the week and are keen to promote internship or graduate positions that your organisation may have available for the forthcoming year. We are interested in promoting your opportunities in the following ways to our Economics and Business students:

  • Inclusion in a special E-Newsletters to all targeted students
  • On campus presentations to promote opportunities and organisation
  • Promotion of opportunities on our website
  • Contact with relevant student Clubs and Societies
  • Special feature of your organisation on our e-learning site

The Economics and Business faculty is keen to connect with employers and businesses wanting to recruit our fantastic students. We have around 7500 students studying both under graduate and post graduate courses in Commerce, Economics, International Business and Transport and Logistics. Our students come from a range of countries and there is a lot of interest in working globally. We would be interested in discussing any ideas for engaging with our faculty particularly any work experience opportunities that may be available to our students.
