Aspects of Market Integrity - Where Next? Conference

1st Oct 2009 2:30pm-6:00pm

Hilton Hotel, 488 George Street Sydney (followed by evening cocktails)

The recent release of the CAMAC issues paper and report on "Aspects of Market Integrity" has evidenced the existence of substantial policy, legal and regulatory concerns relating to capital market conduct, oversight, regulation and enforcement.

Additionally, recommendations in the report have significant potential impact on corporate governance, listed company management and industry practice. Issues of directors taking margin loans over company shares, company insiders trading during "black-out" periods, "rumourtrage" - the spreading of false or misleading information and corporate briefings to analysts, are particularly relevant in the context of insider trading, continuous disclosure, market misconduct and corporate governance. At the "Aspects of Market Integrity - Where Next?" Conference, key participants from government, regulators, the professions and academia will discuss and identify emerging and unresolved issues relating to market integrity.

Key participants in the "Aspects of Market Integrity - Where Next?" Conference Forum include:
