2009 sees the launch of the Faculty's inaugural E&B Alumni Achiever Awards to recognise alumni who make outstanding contributions to society
The Faculty is extremely proud of our alumni for the positive impact they make to Australian and International society. In order to recognise the achievements of our graduates directly, the Economics and Business (E&B) Alumni Achiever Awards will complement the prestigious existing University Alumni Awards program that has been running for more than a decade.The Faculty will formally acknowledge our 'E&B Alumni Achievers' for their commitment to the community and professional service in the following categories which are in line with the University's program:
- E&B Community Alumni Achiever Award
To recognise the personal contributions that alumni have made to the enrichment of Australian society through their community service. - E&B International Alumni Achiever Award
To recognise the personal contributions that alumni who reside overseas have made to the enrichment of international society through their community or professional service. - E&B Professional Alumni Achiever Award
To recognise the outstanding achievements of alumni in their professional field. - E&B Young Alumni Achiever Award
To recognise the outstanding achievements made by alumni under the age of 30 to the University, local, Australian or international communities.
With tens of thousands of our alumni located worldwide it is hard for us to know about the many and varied achievements of all our graduates. So, if you know an outstanding member of the Faculty's alumni network who has achieved significant success in their field since graduating from The University of Sydney, we would like to hear about it.
The Faculty's Alumni Working Group, chaired by the Dean, Professor Peter Wolnizer, will meet shortly after nominations close to select the award recipients. Winners will be notified in early June and the awards presented at a Faculty event later in the year. Help us to make our inaugural award program a success by nominating alumni who you believe deserve recognition for their achievements.
