Alumni Honour Recipients

Australian Honours recognise and celebrate outstanding achievements and contributions of extraordinary Australians, and University Alumni are frequently recognised through these prestigious awards. Below you will find a listing of Honours awarded to our Faculty's Alumni.

Congratulations to our distinguished alumni who were recognised in the Australia Day Honours for 2009.

MEMBER OF THE ORDER OF AUSTRALIA (AM)

• Mr John B McLenaghan AM (BEc '59)
  For service to the finance and banking industries, particularly in the field of international statistics, and to the promotion of Australian-American relations through academic and financial roles.


• Mr David C Scarf AM (BEc '70)
  For service to the community, particularly through a range of executive and fundraising roles with church and social welfare organisations, and to the Melkite Catholic Eparchy of Australia and New Zealand.


• Professor Julianne Schultz AM (PhD '96, GradCertMgmt '03)
  For service to the community as a journalist, writer, editor and academic, to fostering debate on issues affecting society, and to professional ethics and accountability.

MEDAL OF THE ORDER OF AUSTRALIA (OAM)

• Mr Matthew S Dunn OAM (MCom '04)
  For service to swimming, and to the community through Asthma Foundations Australia.

PUBLIC SERVICE MEDAL (PSM) - New South Wales

• Ms Susan F Dixon PSM (BEc '71)
  For outstanding public service in the development of consumer protection and social justice policy in New South Wales.
