International Relationships
The Faculty is part of a vibrant and international learning community incorporating academics, students, corporate partners, governments, schools, and other universities and research institutions. We have a strong international focus in our programs and curriculum, as well as in the composition of our staff and student bodies. Many of our degree programs either offer a major in international business or incorporate units of study that give an international perspective.

A significant number our staff and students come from or have studied overseas, making for a richand multicultural environment. The Faculty has many formal affiliations with international educational institutions. The Faculty of Economics and Business is also one of eleven founding members of the Association of Asia Pacific Business Schools (AAPBS).
AAPBS was established in 2004 to provide leadership in advancing the quality of management and business education in Asia Pacific. The Faculty Dean, Professor Peter W. Wolnizer, serves as AAPBS Executive Member.
In 2005, the Faculty of Economics and Business hosted Australia's first Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) World Class Practices in Management Education Conference on the topic of Meeting the Needs of Global Business, attracting 105 business deans and many business leaders from the Asia-Pacific region.

The Faculty of Economics and Business at The University of Sydney has become the only Australian business school to be admitted to the Community of European Management Schools (CEMS), the highly prestigious alliance of leaders in business and higher education. CEMS comprises 17 of the best known business schools in Europe together with 9 non-European academic institutions as Associate Members, with only one school per country being admitted at any one time.
