Tutor Development Program Schedule 

The Faculty of Economics and Business recognises the importance of the professional development of tutors. The tutor professional development program consists of fourteen paid sessions plus a paid peer observation exercise (a total of between twenty-five and thirty hours of paid development) and is recognised with a certificate upon completion.

The program provides opportunities for you to:

  • Deepen your understanding of high quality teaching and student learning
  • Apply new techniques to your teaching to improve your students' learning experiences
  • Observe a peer's tutorial and receive peer feedback on your teaching
  • Share experiences & ideas with other tutors in your discipline and in the Faculty

The sessions are recommended for ALL tutors, both new and experienced. Feedback from past programs has been used to improve the current program.

NB: Tutors will be paid for attendance at each two-hour session. Refreshments provided.
